Deputy Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk
Oleksandr Levytskiy
In the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, there is a sufficiently developed network of psychological assistance institutions for citizens, including internally displaced persons, who suffered as a result of the invasion of the occupying Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine. Citizens are consulted through the hotlines of the Department of Social Policy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration and the structural subdivisions of the social protection of the population of the district state administrations, executive committees of city councils.
Victims of Kharkiv Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, Kherson Oblast, and other occupied territories experienced severe stress and need not only initial crisis psychological support, but also further work in the direction of mental health recovery. Of course, we support initiatives that are created for the realization of humanitarian goals.
Providing free psychosocial support to the civilian population of Ukraine, in our opinion, will contribute to the restoration of citizens' health, their ability to work, and assimilation in new regions.
The Department of Social Policy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration has a positive attitude towards the implementation of this project and, on the condition of effective assistance to our citizens on a free basis, will contribute to further informational support of the company (Letter №18/01-13/2643 from 26.08.2022)
